Sweet & Salty

Every time we get together with our girlfriends we make our favorite take a-long treat, GORP. It’s one of the easiest cheat day treats that we make. We first learned of this treat back in our teaching days when fellow colleagues concocted this amazing mix of sweet and salty goodness. One person called it brain food. Another called it GORP, which stood for Good Ole Raisin Peanuts. We’ve adapted our GORP and our recipe doesn’t really contain raisins or peanuts, unless you count Peanut M&Ms. The beauty of this treat is that you can literally throw in any type of candy or snack that you wish. Just mix what you like in a giant bowl and put the ingredients in a baggie to share with your girlfriends or loved ones. It’s always a hit when we get together with our besties.

GORP

GORP (the Sister Sweetly way)

  • 1 bag Dark Chocolate M&Ms
  • 1 bag Peanut M&Ms
  • 1 bag Mini Crunch Bars
  • 1 bag Heath Bars
  • 1 bag Rolos
  • 1 bag Twizzler Nibs
  • 1 bag pretzel sticks
  • 1 box Chocolate Chip Teddy Grahams

Unwrap ingredients and empty into a large bowl. Mix ingredients to your liking. Put handfuls of GORP into baggies.
