Do you have a favorite Christmas movie? Seems like our list grows longer every year. Elf, The Polar Express, and Christmas Vacation are a few of our favorites. The jury is still out on whether we think Die Hard is actually a Christmas movie. The guys would say yes. No matter what you have streaming this weekend, why night bake up a batch of our Holiday Movie Night Cookies. All the movie snacks mixed into a yummy cookie. Candy bars, m and ms, even popcorn. A perfect way to sweeten up your favorite holiday flick with your favorite people for a festive night at home.
- 3/4 cup butter flavored Crisco
- 1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg white
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup Holiday Peanut M&Ms
- 1/2 cup Holiday Dark Chocolate M&Ms
- 1/2 cup Rolos or Heath
- 60-90 pieces popcorn set aside
Heat oven to 350°F.
Use a stand mixer to beat Crisco, brown sugar, egg white and vanilla in large bowl until fluffy. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
Stir in the candies.
Drop a tablespoon of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with Parchment Paper.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes until lightly browned. Carefully press 2-3 pieces popcorn into the top of each cookie.
Place the cookies onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Turn on your favorite Christmas movie and enjoy!

Now that it’s March St. Patrick’s Day and Easter are going to have to wait their turns this month because first in the sweet treat line up are several loved ones’ birthdays. Hmmm? How can we spoil these special people? That’s easy! Cake Batter Birthday Crunch! Full of lots goodies smothered in cake batter. Now the hard part – resisting the urge to devour this gift ourselves!
Cake Batter Birthday Crunch
5 cups popped popcorn
3 cups pretzels
2 cups Bugles
8 ounces white almond bark
½ cup yellow cake mix
1/4 cup sprinkles
1 cup mini M&Ms
1 cup crushed Birthday Cake Oreos
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and spread out all ingredients except sprinkles, cake mix and white almond bark.
Break almond bark in a few pieces. Place almond bark in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir. Continue microwaving for 20 second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted.
Stir cake batter into melted white almond bark and add sprinkles.
Pour melted white almond bark on top of all ingredients on the cookie sheet. Use a spatula to evenly coat all ingredients.
Break into pieces once cooled.

We happily cheated and treated our way through winter break. But now all of that holiday goodness has left us with that about to “pop” feeling. Are you there too? This Saturday we are getting back on track with a sinfully sweet and salty snack – Chocopop. Using the superfoods of whole grain popcorn, unsweetened cocoa powder, and coconut oil we can munch away on this scrumptious chocolate popcorn without feeling guilty. “Pop” a batch and discover for yourself why this has become one of our most”pop”ular recipes.
1/3 cup popcorn kernels
1/4 cup coconut oil
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup agave syrup
2 tablespoons almond milk
1 teaspoon corn starch
Preheat oven to 250F and grease cookie sheet or 9×13 pan.
Make a large bowl of air popped popcorn
In a small dish mix milk and starch and stir to combine.
In a small pan on low to medium heat combine all ingredients. While stirring constantly, heat until thick.
While still hot, pour sauce over popcorn and stir until all popcorn is covered.
Place popcorn on prepared pan.
Bake for 20 minutes stirring every 10 minutes to break popcorn apart.

Hooray! The 2015 holiday season is over- said NO ONE ever! What are we to do with the Christmas candies, snacks, and goodies we have spilling out of our cabinets? We certainly don’t need them lurking around to tempt us much longer! Getting rid of it all in Kitchen Cabinet Cookie Butter Crunch seems the obvious choice to cure our cheating and treating addiction that seems to happen every year at this time. - Leftover Christmas Candies and snacks
- 24 oz white almond bark
- 3 TBS Trader Joes Speculoos Cookie Butter
Spread leftover candies and snacks on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Melt white almond bark in a pan on low heat. Once melted stir in 3 TBS Trader Joes Speculoos Cookie Butter. Pour on top of cookie sheet mix and stir. Allow to harden. Break into pieces and enjoy.

No matter what you call it, you’re gonna want it! Be warned – this is one of those recipes that once you start eating it’s hard to stop! Go ahead and make a double batch. Guaranteed you’ll need it!
Santa’s Sweet and Salty Treat (Sister Sweetly’s name – feel free to use)
6 cups popped popcorn
1 large bag of red and green M&M’s
3 cups pretzels
1 cup Whoppers candy
1 box of Teddy Grahams
24 oz. vanilla almond bark
In a microwave safe bowl, melt almond bark in the microwave for 2-4 minutes at 30 second intervals, until melted. Set aside. In a large bowl mix the popcorn, pretzels, M&M’s, Whoppers, and Teddy Grahams. Pour the melted chocolate over the mixture and mix with a spatula until well coated. Pour out onto wax paper. We line the kitchen table with wax paper and pour it out there. Allow to dry and then break apart. Fill treat bags with mix and tie with a holiday tag.
We’re in full party mode around here this special Fourth of July Saturday. We will be celebrating our country’s independence with a bang. Snap, crackle, and pop to exact! Patriotic Popcorn Bar
- 12 cups of popped popcorn
- 1 bag of Patriotic M&Ms
- 1 bag of Patriotic Peanut M&Ms
- 1 bag of Patriotic Star Marshmallows
- 1/2 bag dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 bag white chocolate chips
- 1 bag pretzels
- 1 bag mini Starburts
- 1 box Reese’s cereal
- Assorted popcorn seasonings
Pop popcorn. Fill a bag with popcorn. Spoon in favorite mix-ins. Sprinkle with desired seasonings. Let the fireworks begin!
